TOP TEAM HOSTS THE PLAYOFFS

The first place team with the overall best record will host the playoffs at their club.  If your team appears to be in first place and your club is unable to host the playoffs, please call Vivian Welsh, ASAP at 571-6935

COSTS ~ There will be no additional charges to play in the playoffs.

BALLS ~  CTA will provide one can of balls for each playoff match played at their club.

REFRESHMENTS ~ Refreshments may be provided by the host club but are not required.

ROSTERED PLAYERS ONLY

Only players that are on your roster by the deadline to add players (Nov. 28th) are eligible to play in the playoffs (NO EXCEPTIONS).  Players are not required to have played a certain number of matches during regular season.  They just need to be on your roster.

PLAYOFF FORMAT

Playoffs are held on one day as listed above.  Teams will field the same number of positions as a regular season match.

4 TEAMS IN PLAYOFFS: Host club needs six (6) courts available.  Two rounds will be played. Each round consists of one 7 game pro set.  Different players from your roster may play each round.

2 TEAMS IN PLAYOFFS: Host club needs three (3) courts available except the 2.5 Women will need two (2) courts available.  A regular match is played. Two sets with a third set tiebreak, if necessary, the first to 10 by 2 points Coman style.

PLAYOFF TIEBREAK PROCEDURES FOR 2.5 WOMEN’S DIVISION

If the final score of the match is tied at 1-1, the following tie-breaks will be used to determine a match winner:

  1. Least Individual Games Lost, if still no winner then,
  2. On separate sheets of paper, Position 1 and Position 2 will be written and the slips thrown into a hat. A drawing by an impartial party will determine which position will play in the final tiebreak. The position selected will have the two players from Team A that just played in that position, play against the two players from the same position of Team B.  They will immediately proceed to play a 7 point tiebreaker, (first to 7 by 2 points - Coman), to determine a winner and break the tie.

More detailed information, (location, time, draw), will be emailed after your last regular season match, after all final match scores have been submitted.
